- Pinellas County middle school student participants’ 30-day past alcohol use decreased 13.5% from 2004 to 2010.
- From 2008 to 2010 among Pinellas County middle school students, 30-day past use binge drinking rates increased an overall 30%, Cigarette use increased an overall 18.3% and Marijuana use increased an overall 77.5%.
- In 2012, Pinellas County middle school students reported higher rates of 30-day past use for inhalants compared to State of Florida averages.
- Pinellas County high school student participants’ 30-day past use decreased from 2004 to 2010 in terms of alcohol (a 14.3% decrease) and binge drinking (a 22.5% decrease).
- In 2012, Pinellas County high school student participants reported higher rates of 30-day past use for alcohol, binge drinking, cigarettes, and marijuana compared to State of Florida averages.
